Intro to Tai Chi Chuan

This is a 6-week course to give you a solid foundation in the internal Chinese martial art of Tai Chi Chuan. It will meet April 16, 23, 30, May 7, 21, June 4. $125 is for the 6 classes.
You will learn proper breathing, balance, being mindful in the moment, theory (yin/yang, 5 element, medical qi gong, martial) as well as a profound practice which will complement any other activities you currently participate in.
QI GONG (also known as Chi Gong or Qi Gung) is a Chinese system of gentle exercises, breathing and meditation that increases our bodies supply of healing energy – Chi or Qi – enhancing overall vitality, as well as developing a clear and peaceful state of mind.
TAI CHI CHUAN literally means supreme or ultimate lifeforce fist, is the most dynamic form of Qi Gong, an internal martial art, using qi as the source of the practitioner’s power rather than simply muscular strength. The 24 movement pre revolution Yang short form is taught here.
